Wi-Fi¶

The LinkPlay Wi-Fi module: control, identity, network state, playback state and track
metadata as the module reports them. The queries address the module itself, so they answer
not initialized before the module has started and fail or time out while the module is
unpowered (STANDBY); in SLEEP the module stays powered. Free-text values (names, titles)
are UTF-8.

WIFI:RST, WIFI:RELOAD¶
Commands: WIFI:RST, WIFI:RELOAD
Both restart the LinkPlay module; WIFI:RELOAD also shows the reload pattern on the status
LED. The module needs some seconds before its queries answer again.
Module identity¶
Commands: WIFI:DEVNAME?, WIFI:RELEASE?, WIFI:DEVID?
As the module reports them. The device name is the one the owner sees in the streaming apps.
WIFI:SSID?¶
Despite its name, the query answers the firmware version string of the Wi-Fi module, as the
module reports it in its device information, next to the release string of WIFI:RELEASE?.
The name of the network the module is connected to is not available over the control
interface. The command keeps its name for compatibility with existing software.
WIFI:SIGNALSTR?, WIFI:NETSTATE?¶
Commands: WIFI:SIGNALSTR?, WIFI:NETSTATE?
The signal strength as the module reports it (MuraLink shows it as dBm). WIFI:NETSTATE?
answers 1 when the module is connected to a network, 0 otherwise.
Playback state¶

Track metadata and position¶
Commands: WIFI:CURPOS?, WIFI:TOTLEN?, WIFI:TITLE?, WIFI:ARTIST?, WIFI:ALBUM?
Playback position and length in milliseconds; the metadata as the streaming service delivers it, UTF-8, possibly empty.
