Known issues¶
JP150PCB 1.3PCB 1.4generatedJan PřibyslavskýThis page does not apply to the product or PCB revision chosen in the header.
One living list. Each entry names the boards it affects, the workaround where there is one, and the release that fixed it. An issue is never removed: when a release fixes it, it moves to the fixed list below and appears in that release's notes.
Open¶
KI-11Front LEDs show white or random colours on some PCB 1.4 modules open PCB 1.4
On part of the first PCB 1.4 production batch the power LED, status LED and level meter show white or random colours after power-on instead of their patterns. Audio and the control interface are not affected. The LED type used on PCB 1.4 is more sensitive to the drive timing than the earlier type; a firmware fix is in preparation.
KI-10Control bus guard can stay active after a SigmaStudio session open PCB 1.4
After a SigmaStudio download through the USBi, the module can keep treating the DSP bus as busy until it is reset, even with the USBi unplugged. DSP queries then answer ERROR, and an input or power-mode change does not reach the DSP although the status LED follows it.
Workaround. Reset or power-cycle the module after using the USBi.
KI-09The module does not know which DSP program it runs open
The firmware keeps no record of the program written to the DSP boot memory, so MuraLink cannot show it, and its update question cannot tell an own program from the default one.
KI-08A lone TWS unit does not reconnect the phone by itself open
When a paired unit is switched on without its partner, it plays on its own, but the connection to the phone is not restored automatically.
Workaround. Connect from the phone's Bluetooth settings; the partner joins when it is switched on.
KI-05External master clock is not supported open
The module always runs from its internal master clock. On PCB 1.3 the DIP switch position has no effect; on PCB 1.4 the firmware keeps the internal clock selected.
KI-04Brief digital noise when USB audio resumes after a long silence open
After a longer silence on the USB input, a short burst of digital noise can be audible when the stream resumes. It normally clears by itself within a few seconds.
Fixed in the current release, confirmation pending¶
KI-01TWS pairing sometimes unstable fixed in 26.10.1, confirmation pending
Pairing two units could fail, and an established pair could misbehave, because the pairing was rebuilt at every start. The pairing is now remembered and reconnected. Bench confirmation on two TWS-capable units is pending.
Workaround. Reset the Secondary, or both units, for that power cycle.
Fixed¶
KI-07A setting changed right before a restart or an update could be lost fixed in 26.10.1
Settings are written a few seconds after a change. A restart, the entry into update mode or a reset command that came within that time lost the change. Pending changes are now written first.
KI-06Wrong input after waking from sleep or standby fixed in 26.10.1 PCB 1.4
The DSP of PCB 1.4 reloads its program on every wake, and the module re-sent the selected input before the program was ready, so the DSP played its default source, the test tone. The input is now sent once the DSP program is running.
KI-03Supply current reading is indicative only fixed in 26.10.1
Fixed on PCB 1.4, which measures with a dedicated power monitor. The PCB 1.3 reading is unchanged and stays indicative; use an external meter where the figure matters.
KI-02Seconds of random level-meter colours at power-up fixed in 26.10.1
Before the firmware responded to anything, the level meter showed whatever its LEDs latched at power-on, for up to six seconds, because the start-up waited for the DSP. The wait is gone.
Reporting a problem¶
Send the module's serial number (*IDN?), the firmware version, the board revision and what you
observed to support. The result of SYS:RESET:CAUSE? and
SYS:BOOTLOADER:INFO? helps with anything that involves a restart.
