System: 12 V trigger¶
JP150PCB 1.4since 26.10.1generatedJan PřibyslavskýThis page does not apply to the product or PCB revision chosen in the header.
The 12 V trigger input of PCB 1.4 (Operation: 12 V trigger). On
PCB 1.3 the input does not exist: SYS:TRIG? answers N/A, and the three settings are
accepted and stored without effect. The module samples the input every 100 ms and accepts a
new level after two equal samples. Nothing is acted on in the first 5 s after start; a
SigmaStudio programmer session (I2C guard) and a pending power-stage retry take precedence.
Commands¶

Trigger mode | – | SYS:TRIG:MODE:<mode> |
26.10.1 | 1.4 (1.3: stored, no effect) |
SYS:TRIG:MODE |
Set the trigger mode | OFF, FOLLOW, ONOFF |
no answer | 26.10.1 | 1.4 (1.3: stored, no effect) |
SYS:TRIG:TARGET? |
Level the trigger switches down to | – | SYS:TRIG:TARGET:<level> |
26.10.1 | 1.4 (1.3: stored, no effect) |
SYS:TRIG:TARGET |
Set the level the trigger switches down to | PWRSTAGE_IDLE, PWRSTAGE_OFF, SLEEP, STANDBY |
no answer | 26.10.1 | 1.4 (1.3: stored, no effect) |
SYS:TRIG:PRIORITY? |
Whether the trigger overrides the automatic decisions | – | SYS:TRIG:PRIORITY:<0|1> |
26.10.1 | 1.4 (1.3: stored, no effect) |
SYS:TRIG:PRIORITY |
Set the trigger priority | 0, 1 |
no answer | 26.10.1 | 1.4 (1.3: stored, no effect) |
Since is the release the command appeared in; 26.6.2 is the oldest release documented here, so a command marked 26.6.2 may be older.
SYS:TRIG?¶
The debounced level of the input. N/A on PCB 1.3, and for about 0.2 s after start until a
level has held.
SYS:TRIG:MODE¶
Commands: SYS:TRIG:MODE?, SYS:TRIG:MODE
OFF ignores the input. FOLLOW: a change to high returns the module to NORMAL, a change
to low takes it to the target level; the level found at start counts too, so a module started
without a trigger powers down about 5 s after start, and so does a switch to FOLLOW (the
current level applies once). The encoder and the commands can still change the level until
the trigger changes again. ONOFF: the input is a push button; a press while powered down
wakes the module, a press that begins in NORMAL and is held for 1 s powers down to the
target level. The press that wakes never powers down, and the level found at start is not a
press. An invalid value is an SCPI error. A stored setting (autosave after 0.1 s).
Default: OFF.
Trigger modes
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
OFF |
The trigger input is ignored (default) |
FOLLOW |
High switches to NORMAL, low to the target level, on every change of the level |
ONOFF |
Push button. A press wakes the module; a press held 1 s in NORMAL powers down to the target level |
SYS:TRIG:TARGET¶
Commands: SYS:TRIG:TARGET?, SYS:TRIG:TARGET
NORMAL is refused. Unlike the automatic power-down, the target is not limited by the selected
input: the trigger itself wakes the module, whatever the level. A stored setting.
Default: SLEEP.
SYS:TRIG:PRIORITY¶
Commands: SYS:TRIG:PRIORITY?, SYS:TRIG:PRIORITY
FOLLOW mode only. With 1 the automatic decisions never contradict the trigger: no silence
power-down while the trigger is high, no audio wake while it is low. With 0 automatic
power-down and audio wake work as before, beside the trigger. A stored setting.
Default: 1.
