Release 26.7.0

JP150PCB 1.3Jan PřibyslavskýThis page does not apply to the product or PCB revision chosen in the header.

Released 2026-07-03 for PCB revision 1.3. Changes since release 26.6.2, reconstructed after the fact from the datasheet revision 0.4 that was published with it; the release had no What's New document of its own.

New features

Settings saved automatically

The master volume and the selected input are written to the settings memory a few seconds after a change and restored at the next power-up, by a task of its own so that the audio path is never disturbed. A production command stores the board's revision and serial number, which the firmware reports on request (Settings and memory).

Power-stage control and monitoring

Each TAS3251 power stage gained hardware mute and reset over the control interface, decoded fault reporting (live state, worst fault since the last clear, a clear and a recovery command) and clock and PLL diagnostics. The power-stage temperature (TMP112) and the supply current are measured and reported, with minima and maxima (Volume and encoder, command reference).

DSP parameters through the IPAT

Input selection goes through the DSP program's indirect parameter access table instead of fixed addresses, a host can write any exposed parameter the same way (DSP:IPAT:SETBLOCK), and the level meter's RMS value is readable (DSP:LVLMETER:RMS?). An own DSP design keeps the starter project's table entries (IPAT and parameters).

S/PDIF DC offset removed

A high-pass filter in the DSP path removes the DC offset of the S/PDIF input.

Fixed issues

No known issue of the previous releases is closed by this release.

  • A stalled I2S transmit DMA is detected and recovered instead of leaving the output silent.
  • The control UART and the Wi-Fi module's UART recover by themselves after a UART error.
  • The Bluetooth module's serial framing was rewritten; it resynchronises after an error and is safe across buffer wrap, which fixes playback recovery after a module restart.
  • The volume synchronisation with the Wi-Fi module compared in the wrong direction and padded the volume incorrectly.
  • The Wi-Fi module reload is pulsed from task context, and holding the encoder button fires once per press.
  • DSP:SETBLOCK, BT:DEVNAME and the Wi-Fi mode queries validate their parameters.

Control interface

20 commands added, 2 removed (AMP0:RST and AMP1:RST, replaced by the pin-level AMP0:RESET and AMP1:RESET and the fault commands). The list is on Changes by release.

Known issues at the time

TWS pairing could be unstable, the external master clock was not supported, and USB audio could resume with a short noise burst after a long silence. The living list is on Known issues.
